Originally Ladder 12, then Ladder 32 of the Cincinnati
Fire Department.
This truck was sold at a public auction in the
Fall of 2007, it was listed by its new owner on E-Bay 2 times.
After the 2nd time it was purchased by Mt Penn for $12,000.00.
It was driven to a Detroit Diesel Shop in Cincinnati to have a
new engine installed. It was then driven to the Seagrave Factory
in Clintonville, WI to undergo a full refurbishment. The truck
was stripped down to the frame, and a few changes were made to
adapt it for use in Mt. Penn. The aerial ladder was updated to
include all of the features of a ladder built new today. The rust
was repaired and the entire truck was repainted, The cab and the
trailer are still the original 1992 components. The truck was
delivered to Mt. Penn just before Thanksgiving 2009, It was sent
for lettering and is now having all of the tools and equipment
transfered from the old ladder. We expect to place the new Ladder
1 in service at the beginning of March 2010.
